INDIANAPOLIS – Each May, Indy restaurants prepare for the Cinco de Mayo rush – and they have good reasons to: The city eats the second most Mexican food in the workplace, according to a study by ezCater.com.

Data from ezCater.com, a nationwide marketplace for business catering, found that companies in Indianapolis spent 47 percent more than the national average on Mexican food in 2016. As a city, we only eat least Mexican food than Fort Worth, Texas. 

The statistic shows that Indy loves its Mexican food all year-round, as 27 percent of the total amount that Indianapolis businesses spent on catering last year went to Mexican restaurants, according to ezCater.
