INDIANAPOLIS -- Chef Neal Brown, known for his craft pizzas and cocktail bar, definitely knows how to keep Indy on its toes.

Not only did Brown drop a major announcement about opening two new restaurants within the coming months, he also made note of closing one of the city’s favorite pizza spots – Pizzology.

The Mass Ave location will close Feb. 19 and will reopen March 21 as Stella, a restaurant bringing the cultures of Italy, France and Spain to the circle city.

Brown’s second restaurant, Ukiyo will open in April where guests can reap the benefits of Midwest grown foods prepared using Japanese techniques.

Ukiyo will replace another Indy favorite closing its doors – Recess, found along College Avenue. Chef Greg Hardesty announced the closing of Recess last week and the space was sold swiftly to Brown.
