INDIANAPOLIS – You’ll want to ditch the chopsticks once Indy’s newest sushi spot opens on Monument Circle this week.

Temaki House – that will serve up sushi in a hand-rolled seaweed cone (we like to call them sushi burritos) – will open its doors in the Salesforce tower Thursday.

The concept of Temaki is like your favorite sushi combinations, but on the go in a fast, causal environment. Just think of all the sticky rice, fish, tofu, veggies and sauce you could pile into your seaweed cone.

Classic Temaki dishes are made with white rice or brown rice, Brazilian cream cheese and mayonnaise along with your toppings.

Other signature favorites include the Indy Temaki – rice, salmon, mushrooms, bacon and spicy mayo; Rio – rice, shrimp, asparagus, Doritos, avocado and spicy mayo; and the Tokyo – rice, smoked tofu, crab, cucumber and Brazilian crème cheese among others.

Sushi is also offered in a “don,” the Japanese word for bowl or in traditional salad form.

Temaki House will operate Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
