INDIANAPOLIS -- Children were delivering Christmas wish lists in a whole new way in 1987 thanks to an invention known as the picture phone.
The Luma phone was a landline telephone capable of taking, transmitting and printing black and white photos. They were in short supply in 1987, so if you wanted to talk to Santa, you had to visit the GTE Center on Monument Circle.
Channel 6 reporter Linda Lupear was there to witness the awe and excitement of this piece of modern wizardry.
