INDIANAPOLIS -- The year was 1916: It cost 10 cents to enter a state park in Indiana; Woodrow Wilson was president; and a little girl who'd grow up to live in Carmel would be born to serve the world.
Today, at 99 years old, Rosario Sherra says you're never too old to get involved.
Her volunteering is powered by her sewing machine in Carmel, where she's moved from Argentina to be closer to her daughter.
Sherra works with the Indianapolis-based Anchor of Hope Charities to sew dresses for young girls in the African country of Zambia.
For her incredible charitable work, Sherra was selected as RTV6's Jefferson Award winner for July. See more about her in the video player above.
