MUNCIE, Ind. – With just a $5 bill, you could bring home a new furry friend and change an animal’s life.
Muncie Animal Care Services will offer $5 pet adoptions Friday and Saturday as the shelter is over capacity. Staff members said during the month of June, the shelter has accepted 300 animals.
"It's a really great deal. Summer is an excellent time to acquire a new pet, and we have so many wonderful pets to choose from,” said director Phil Peckinpaugh.
The shelter will open Friday from 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
All animals at the shelter have been fixed, vaccinated and microchipped.
