INDIANAPOLIS — Friday the 13th may be a day of bad nuances for some, but for others, it's a day to get a tattoo at a discounted price.
Tattoos are not cheap and can cost hundreds of dollars. The 'unofficial National Tattoo Day' allows tattoo artists to give back to the community.
Here are parlors offering deals on tattoos and piercings around Indianapolis:
Ceremony Tattoo
2629 Shelby Street, 12 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Ceremony Tattoo in the Garfield Park area will be offering $40 tattoos from a flash sheet:
Delta 9 Tattoo Company
2612 Madison Ave, 2 p.m. - 12 a.m.
Delta 9 Tattoo on the south side of Indianapolis has been participating in Friday the 13th for ten years now, according to owner Scott Fearrin. Delta's flash deal is a 2x2 design of your choice for $13 all day.
Infamous Tattoo
7921 Southeastern Ave, 11 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Infamous Tattoo is on the city's southeast side. According to their social media, each one of their artists will be offering certain flash pieces for a deal. Tattoos range from $31 to $66, depending on colors.
Masterwork Tattoo
42 1/2 Virginia Ave, 12 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Situated in Downtown Indy, this tattoo parlor will have $20, $80, and $120 design pages available.
Steel Rod Tattoo
3436 W 16th St, 12 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Steel Rod Tattoo is on Indianapolis west side. The shop will have $31 piercings, $40 flash sheets, and 31 percent off big tattoos.
Most tattoo shops will only accept cash payments, and it's necessary to remember to tip.
