INDIANAPOLIS -- One man was shot and killed Saturday morning on Indianapolis' east side.
The shooting happened in a house near the 2600 block of N. Bazil Avenue at around 6:30 a.m.
The victim was later identified as Alexis Gomez, 21.
Police say a group of IUPUI students were at a party in the house. Many of them have been taken to the police department for questioning.
Witnesses say they were sleeping when they heard a gunshot and saw Gomez stumble out from a room. He then collapsed on the floor and was pronounced dead at Eskenazi Health.
