UPDATE: On Friday, October 29, the Town canceled the Boil Water Advisory after samples were found to be satisfactory.

If residents experience further problems, they are asked to call 1-888-491-8194 during after hours or on weekends and 765-778-2173 during business hours.

PENDLETON — A Precautionary Boil Water Advisory is now in effect for the town of Pendleton until further notice.

The town says there was a major water main break Sunday at a construction site that drained the water towers and led to a loss of pressure.

All water utility customers of the Town of Pendleton should boil tap water before consuming it. Water can be used for bathing and washing without boiling.

The town also says residents should see water pressure increase throughout the day.

Pendleton says the advisory will be lifted after water service and quality are fully restored and tests verify the safety of the water supply. That process is expected to take 72 hours.
