TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Four people are dead after a fiery multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 70 near Terre Haute Saturday afternoon.

Indiana State Police say two tractor-trailers and a car collided on eastbound I-70 just four miles east of the Indiana-Illinois state line.

Investigators say a semi failed to stop for slowing traffic and collided with a car, pushing it into a second semi. The car burst into flames killing all three of the people inside. The driver of the semi was also killed.

The driver of the second semi was uninjured.

No identities have been released at this time and state police say it could take days to identify the victims.

The accident remains under investigation by Indiana State Police.
