Inspector Chris Funkhouser said their top priority is making sure everyone will be safe at the fair.
"We want to ensure the safety of visitors and the people of the state of Indiana, and we want to them to have safe, enjoyable entertainment," Funkhouser said.
Funkhouser said if you're at the fair and you see something that doesn't look quite right, you shouldn't be afraid to speak up. The number for the ride safety hotline will be posted throughout the midway.
