PLAINFIELD, Ind. -- It looks like a $20 bill, but is it really?
Plainfield police released pictures Friday of counterfeit money that turned up at garage sales a couple of weeks ago.
They want to show how easily the fake bills can fool the untrained eye.
Authorities ask people to be cautious and take a closer look at bills, especially larger denominations, before accepting them.
If you are having a yard sale and are worried about counterfeit cash, you can buy a special ink pen that will show if bills are real or fake.
The suspect is described as a white female, wearing blue jean shorts and driving a Red Jeep Wrangler.
