BROWNSBURG, Ind. -- The Brownsburg Police department is investigating allegations of a sexual nature involving an after-school care employee.
The employee is a juvenile, according to Capt. Jennifer Barrett.
Brownsburg Parks immediately removed the suspect from the B.A.S.E. (Before and After School Enrichment) program, which provides before and after school care in six Brownsburg elementary schools.
Parents and guardians received an email Thursday from the Brownsburg Community School Corporation that notified them about the investigation.
“While this allegation specifically involves a Brownsburg Parks and Recreation Department B.A.S.E. program employee, we, in the Brownsburg Community School Corporation, believe it is important to communicate this information with all families,” read the email.
Barrett said the Brownsburg Parks Department also notified families prior to Thursday’s email to parents.
It’s unclear if any criminal charges have been filed, but Brownsburg Police are investigating the allegations.
Brownsburg Police is asking anyone with questions about the investigation to call (317) 852-1109 x2123 and/or x2121.
