INDIANAPOLIS -- A man known on social media as the “Franklin Township creeper” has reached a plea agreement in which he will avoid prison time.
Weston Gray reached a plea agreement Tuesday in which he pleaded guilty to residential entry, a felony, and battery, a misdemeanor.
His arrest in 2016 followed accusations he peered into people’s homes and broke into at least one of them. Gray will serve a year of home detention on GPS monitoring, as well as an additional year and a half on probation which includes GPS monitoring, records show.
Gray will be treated as a sexual offender for the duration of his probation, including completion of sexual offender treatment as well as polygraph testing.

Gray must also submit to searches of his property, and computer equipment at the discretion of the Probation Department.
In exchange for the plea, prosecutors agreed to dismiss a second battery charge against him. Gray’s attorney, Bradley Banks, declined to comment to Call 6 Investigates Tuesday afternoon.
According to the probable cause, Franklin Township resident Jamie Hogan reported Gray broke into their house in August 2015 and went into her daughter’s bedroom. “She recalls waking up to this male standing over her and she immediately began kicking him and screaming,” according to the probable cause. “The suspect began wrestling with her when she started to strike him and he left a scratch on her arm.”
At the time in 2015, Gray was not a suspect. However, on August 20, 2016, IMPD received new information about the same man caught on video approaching doors in Franklin Township and trying to gain entry by turning the door knob and pushing buttons on the keypad. The video was posted to Facebook and widely circulated.
In both the 2015 and 2016 cases, witnesses identified a white SUV and a heavy set, bald white male as the suspect.
Police questioned Gray’s wife who said it was her husband in the video.
Hogan told police that the man in the video posted on Facebook was the same man who entered her daughter’s bedroom a year prior.
Gray’s wife told police Gray has gained approximately 100 pounds in the last year. Indianapolis Metro Police were also able to confirm Gray drives a 2015 white Nissan Murano SUV.
RTV6 previously reported several people in Franklin Township were concerned for their safety as they have surveillance photos of a man they say is peeping into their homes.
