INDIANAPOLIS -- The president of the Indiana Transportation Museum responds to whistle blowers who raised questions about how the museum is being run.
The seven fired volunteers alleged wrong-doings including questionable financial practices, failure to maintain timely and complete records, and an inability by the board of directors to properly manage the museum.
Jeff Kehler, President of the Indiana Transportation Museum, said the board and the volunteers had a difference of opinion about moving the museum away from a club to a business.
Kehler said there were multiple opportunities for the group to come forward with their problems, but they didn't do that.
The whistle blowers said they did on several occasions.

Meantime, the future of the State Fair Train is still up in the air.
The Hoosier Heritage Port Authority said allegations of failure to maintain records on the train's operations forced them to suspend the Indiana Transportation Museum's ability to use the tracks from Tipton to Indianapolis.
The attorney general's investigations into the museum are also ongoing.
