INDIANAPOLIS – A student was accused of carrying a firearm on the property of Southport High School Tuesday morning.
Call 6 sources said Perry Township school police were checking students leaving and coming to Southport High School when an officer noticed a 16-year-old student in a vehicle with a firearm in sight.
The officer held the student at gunpoint as they waited for Indianapolis Metropolitan Police to respond, Call 6 sources said.
The student was taken into custody and police confiscated drugs and a handgun, Call 6 sources said.
