INDIANAPOLIS -- At the the Villas of Westmount -- a quiet neighborhood on Indianapolis' west side -- Becky Lucid had unburied cable lines.
Lucid got Comcast years ago and the installation took longer than expected.
"When they didn't come back after a couple calls, you just give up," she said.
RTV6 has received other pictures of questionable installations in her neighborhood.
One cable line runs around the gutter of a house belonging to a woman who isn't even a customer, in order to get service to her neighbor.
"We did a walkaround and our first visual was cables laying everywhere," said Rodney Hoover, who works for the company that manages the property.
The lines presented a safety hazard for landscapers and people concerned about cutting the cable.
"We've exhausted every avenue--we've reached out to Comcast on multiple occasions -- we have no open work orders," Hoover said. "We reached the state Attorney General--and they have no jurisdiction on the cable company."
After RTV6 looked into it, Comcast sent technicians to look at the cables and fixed the problems.
Comcast released the following statement:
"We're working very hard to improve customer service at every touch point. Unfortunately, in these instances, we did not provide our customers with the high quality service they deserve. We're investigating each situation so we can learn from them and prevent them from happening again. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this caused our customers."
