CAMPUS PARKWAY INTERCHANGE UPDATE
Great news for the roadway, the new double crossover diamond interchange at Campus Parkway and Interstate 69 is nearly complete.
The hope is to open to this final traffic pattern by the weekend.
The Milestone Contractors group is paving surface asphalt and applying final pavement markings overnight, beginning at 9 p.m. Wednesday until 6 p.m. Thursday morning.
During this time, Campus Parkway access over I-69 will be closed.
Additionally, entrance ramps to I-69, and the I-69 exit ramps to Campus Parkway will also be closed.
Traffic will be directed to the Olio Overpass to cross over the Interstate.
Nathan Riggs of INDOT told us that each day, drivers will see improvements following the previous night's work, as well as a road looking closer to the final product.
He said paving and most lane markings should be done by Friday, with a few stop bars and turn areas remaining on Saturday.
CARMEL TRAFFIC ALERT
If you live in Carmel or frequent the area, a construction project beginning Thursday might impact your travels.
146th Street, just east and west of State Road 37, will have temporary lane restrictions for all four travel lanes.
Traffic control will be in place during restrictions from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
So if you live in the area or need to pass through there for work, expect some minor delays in your travels.
The hope is to have this road work finished by Friday.
