ELWOOD — The Elwood Municipal Building has been closed to the public for the next two weeks after two city workers tested positive for COVID-19.

In a Facebook post, Mayor Todd Jones said the employees had been in contact with other city workers, but not with the thousands of voters who came into the building on Election Day and for early voting.

Elwood is located in both Madison and Tipton counties, about 50-miles northeast of Indianapolis.

During the closure, utility bills can be dropped into a secure box in front of the Elwood Utility Building, or bills can be paid online.
