GREENWOOD — Two people at separate Center Grove Community School Corp. buildings have tested positive for COVID-19, the district confirmed on Saturday.

An individual at Center Grove High School and another individual at Center Grove Elementary School have tested positive, a district spokesperson said. Families and employees at both buildings have been notified.

According to a letter sent to families from the Center Grove Community School Corp., all close contacts of the individual were notified by the Johnson County Health Department, the Indiana State Department of Health or a representative of the school district.

District officials told parents if they did not receive a call their student does not need to quarantine.

Center Grove will use an EPA-registered antimicrobial product for use against COVID-19 and an electrostatic sprayer system to thoroughly clean and disinfect all areas where the individual may have been in contact, according to the letter.

The district's communication does not say whether the person who tested positive is a student or staff member.
