LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Lafayette police apprehended a suspect Tuesday wanted out of Oklahoma on nearly a dozen counts of crimes against children.
Police located 30-year-old Donald Alvin George at a home in the 2500 block of Iroquois Trail in Lafayette, where he had just moved from Seminole, Oklahoma.
A warrant for George’s arrest was issued Monday in Seminole County, Oklahoma, on nine counts of forcible sodomy with a child under 14 and two counts of lewd and indecent proposals or acts against a child.
Shortly after locating him, police conducted a traffic stop of George’s vehicle at the intersection of Sagamore Parkway South and South Creasy Lane and took him into custody without incident.
George was being held at the Tippecanoe County Jail awaiting transport to Seminole County.
