INDIANAPOLIS -- A mother at home with her children shot and killed a suspect during a home invasion Wednesday afternoon on Indianapolis' northeast side, according to police.
The shooting happened around 1:30 p.m. at the Country Lake Townhome Apartments in the 2900 block of White Knight Boulevard.
Several suspects tried to break into an apartment and the mother shot one of them as he came through the front door, according to officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
She and the children are okay.
No word on whether the other suspects were arrested.
