CARMEL, Ind. -- A popular singer and voice coach from Carmel was arrested in June on a preliminary charge of child seduction.

Blair Clark owns Coach Blair's Voice and Performance Studio.

Carmel Police Sgt. D.J. Schoeff says Clark was arrested following an investigation that began in late April when a 17-year-old Noblesville High School student claimed Clark hugged and kissed her.

Clark told police it was a friendly gesture.

His attorney, Jim Crum, says they vehemently deny any allegations and that a number of people have come forward in support of Clark. Otherwise, Crum says he cannot speak to the evidence and they are anxious to have their day in court.

Clark is scheduled to appear in court in October.
