BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Over 150 people were either arrested or cited during enforcement patrols in Bloomington over the weekend during Little 500 celebrations.
According to Indiana State Police, excise officers arrested or cited 114 minors, 36 adults and one juvenile on 316 various charges.
The most common charges were for fake IDs and underage drinking, according to police. Other charges included possession of marijuana, giving alcohol to minors and traffic related offenses.
ISP said arrests were down from last year during the same time when excise officers arrested 179 people.
Most of those arrested were issued a summons and a release to appear in court Sunday morning.
The total charges from Thursday-Saturday were as follows:
- 73-Minor Possession/Consumption
- 81-Minor False ID
- 99-Minor Other (Mostly other False ID related charges)
- 1-Minor Entering
- 2-Minor Drug Related
- 12-Adult Furnishing Alcohol to Minor
- 5-Adult Drug Related
- 2-Adult Public Intoxication
- 2-Adult resisting arrest
- 24-Adult Other
- 3-Minor Possession of alcohol warning
- 1-Minor other warning
- 3-Adult furnishing alcohol to minor warning
- 2-Adult other warnings
- 1-Adult ID
- 1-Adult ID warning
- 1-Juvenile Possession of alcohol
- 1-juvenile possession of false ID
- 2-Juvenile other
Police are also investigating two attempted abduction reports that happened during the Little 500 weekend. Both women were able to get away, but no suspects have been charged.
