BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY, Ind. – A former Bartholomew County Humane Society employee was accused of stealing more than $1,000 in animal adoption fees, according to the sheriff’s department.
Deputies in Bartholomew said the fees were reported missing in May 2016 and the suspect was identified as 23-year-old Brittany Hooper of Scipio, IN.
Hooper was arrested Monday by detectives in Columbus, IN.
She will face a preliminary charge of theft, a level 6 felony.
Hooper has since been released on a $10,000 bond.
