INDIANAPOLIS -- Indianapolis police arrested a teenage girl for battery Sunday afternoon after she allegedly stabbed her brother in the chest.
Officers were called to the 4400 block of Maple Lane around 1:45 p.m. Sunday on a report of a disturbance between two juveniles. The location is near the intersection of 46th Street and Pendleton Pike, near Lawrence.
They arrived on scene to find a 14-year-old male had been stabbed in the chest with a knife.
He was immediately transported from the scene in critical condition. IMPD said at last check the victim was reportedly stable.
Based on witness information, police arrested the teen’s 15-year-old sister on preliminary charges of aggravated battery and criminal recklessness for allegedly stabbing her brother.
Because both suspect and victim are juveniles, their identities are not being released.
Police did not immediately release a suspected motive in the attack.
