GREENWOOD, Ind. – A man was found dead in his home in Greenwood Friday morning, and police now believe it was a homicide.
Andrew Perry, 50, was found lying on the floor and unresponsive by his mother in the 2900 block of Cadogan Drive.
The woman told police she called 911 thinking it may have been a medical episode, but when officers arrived, her son was pronounced dead.
Officers initially began a death investigation Friday but suspected foul play as there was "blunt force trauma to the head," according to the Johnson County sheriff. Police are now treating this case as a homicide investigation.
The investigation continues to take place in Stone Village, an area police and neighbors both call a quiet community.
Neighbors said Perry and his high school son have lived in the area for some time and have never caused any trouble.
A autopsy has been complete, according to police and they are interviewing those who were last seen with the victim.
