GREENWOOD, Ind. – Greenwood police are searching for those accused of stealing items from homes on the city’s southwest side.

Seth Garrett, who lives in the 1400 block of Lank Court, reported to police that his home security camera captured a male taking a DEWALT compound miter saw from his garage April 12.  He said the garage door was left open overnight.

Garrett believes his stolen saw was listed on OfferUp, a mobile application used to sell unwanted items.

"He was selling a lot of items that you steal from outside houses like grills and construction ladders and stuff," said Garrett.

The suspect was dropped off in a 2000’s model maroon Jeep Grand Cherokee around 4:28 a.m. and then went into the garage and stole the saw around 4:30 a.m., according to police.

"Got a real good shot of him. You know he has a Michael Jackson jacket on and a deer hunting mask," said Garrett.

Police said the suspect was described as a white male wearing a camouflage hat, face covering and gloves. He was also wearing a red Adidas pullover with black stripes on the arms and jeans and carrying a small flashlight.

Videos from the home surveillance can be found below.
