FISHERS, Ind. -- A Lawrence Central High School student was arrested after police say he posted a threatening message to another school on social media.

The post was seen Monday night on a live screen during a Hamilton Southeastern High School Young Life event. The event was off-campus.

Several people took pictures of the message, and reported it to administrators and the police, according to a school spokesperson.

Fishers police say they do not believe the threat was credible.

They were able to locate the juvenile who attended a different school, he was taken into custody without incident. His name is not being released.

“The safety of our kids is our number one priority,” said Fishers Chief of Police Mitch Thompson. “We are very fortunate to have strong working relationships with school officials, students, and the community."
