INDIANAPOLIS – An alleged armed robbery suspect was arrested by Indianapolis Police Friday.
Olugbalah Ridley,33, of Indianapolis was arrested around 11:30 a.m. after a witness in the 5700 block of East Washington Street informed police of a potential armed robbery at Huntington Bank.
Officers saw the described suspect get into a gray vehicle in a nearby alley.
Officers attempted to make a traffic stop but the vehicle fled until it crashed into a brick fence in the 75th block of North Audubon Street, police said.
Ridley then got out of the vehicle and fled on foot while dropping a gun and throwing a bag over a fence. He was tackled to the ground by officers, according to police.
The bag thrown over the fence was found to have over $15,000 in cash.
Police said they believe Ridley robbed a person while they were making a business deposit.
