INDIANAPOLIS -- Two men have been charged in connection with a multi-state crime spree that ended in Missouri.
Victor Linton, 23, and Allen McCray, 19, are accused of robbing the Franklin Quick Stop on South Franklin Road earlier this month. Police say the two men pointed a gun at the clerk and took $1,500 in cash.
Two days later, the Whitestown Police Department notified IMPD of a similar armed robbery at the Circle K where two men fired four shots at the clerk.
Earlier this week, police were notified by departments in Illinois and Missouri that they were working robberies with suspects that matched the same descriptions.
Thursday, police in Higginsville, Missouri, arrested Linton and McCray after a violent robbery in which the clerk was shot four times, according to IMPD.
Police believe the two are responsible for at least half a dozen robberies across three different states.
Indianapolis and St. Louis branches of the FBI will be working together to bring federal charges against Linton and McCray.
