IMPD: Van sought in hit-and-run that left 75-year-old woman in critical condition

INDIANAPOLIS -- Police are searching for the driver of a van that was involved in a hit-and-run last month that left a 75-year-old woman in critical condition. 

The crash happened on Saturday, May 27 in the 6600 block of North Michigan Road just before 6 p.m. 

When officers arrived they had to extricate a 75-year-old woman from her vehicle. That woman was taken to the hospital where she remains in critical condition as of June 4. 

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department released photos on Sunday of the other vehicle they believe was involved in the crash. 

Officers are looking for a black 1998 - 2004 Dodge Ram van with a ladder on the roof. The van would have significant front passenger side damage.

After the crash, police believe the van fled southbound on Michigan Road and turned onto W. 62nd Street.
