BURNETTSVILLE, Ind. -- Indiana State Police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found on a burn pile Monday night.
The discovery was made around 8:30 p.m. behind a residence in the 1600 block of North 1400 East in Burnettsville, Indiana.
According to state police, troopers arrived to find a body on top of what appeared to be a burn pile. It was not immediately clear whether any foul play was involved.
An autopsy was scheduled for Tuesday afternoon to determine the man's cause of death.
Police did not immediately release the man's name, pending notification of the family.
