BOISE, Idaho -- An Indianapolis man was arrested in Boise, Idaho after he tried to meet a 14-year-old girl.
According to KIVI in Boise, Mark Timperly, 20, began an "online dating relationship" with the girl in December. After requesting and receiving inappropriate images of the teen, police say he traveled to Idaho to meet her.
A school resource officer in Nampa, Idaho, learned of the situation with the girl and asked police to help.
When Timperly arrived at the Boise Greyhound bus terminal Monday night, he was met by police.
"Timperley was very surprised to meet us at the terminal,” Nampe Detective Troy Hale said. “We were clearly not who he was expecting.”
Timperly faces a felony charge of enticing a child through the internet or other communication device.
