UPDATE: Dalmar Gabbard was found in Delaware County Monday.
HENRY COUNTY, Ind. -- An inmate is on the run after he escaped from the Henry County Jail Sunday afternoon.
According to Henry County Sheriff Richard McCorkle, Delmar Ray Gabbard, 43, escaped from the jail on 12th Street in New Castle just before 5:30 p.m.
Sheriff McCorkle said Gabbard snuck out of the building after requesting some ice from his corrections officer.
Gabbard is described as a white male who stands about 6 feet tall and weighs roughly 190 pounds. He has brown eyes and black and gray hair in a "buzz-type" cut. He was last seen wearing black gym shorts and a gray shirt.
Sheriff McCorkle said Gabard was serving time on drug-related charges.
