INDIANAPOLIS -- Indiana State Police say they busted a methamphetamine lab and marijuana growing operation while executing a search warrant Thursday afternoon in Columbus, Indiana.

Police say they received a tip about illegal drug activity taking place at a home in the 7600 block of West State Road 46. Troopers surveilled the property for several hours Thursday before requesting, and receiving, a search warrant.

Once inside the home, troopers said they found an operational meth lab, a marijuana growing operation, eight improvised explosive devices and more than 70 guns.

Troopers also found approximately 25 pounds of marijuana, 10 pounds of pseudoephedrine (a common precursor to the manufacturing of methamphetamine), five grams of heroin and an ounce of meth.

As a result of the investigation, police arrested 59-year-old Gregory A. Traylor on preliminary charges of manufacturing and possession of meth, dealing in a narcotic drug, dealing and cultivating marijuana, possession of methamphetamine precursors with intent to manufacture and possession of a destructive device.

Police said ATF officers were also contacted to assist in the investigation due to the firearms and explosive devices found at the residence.
