HANCOCK COUNTY, Ind. -- A former substitute teacher who pleaded guilty to having sex with students last year was taken back into custody Friday for an alleged probation violation.
A warrant for 40-year-old Kisha Nuckols’ arrest was issued Friday in Hancock County. The warrant was served the same day, and Nuckols was placed into custody at the Hancock County Jail on a $2,000 cash bond.
Nuckols is accused of violating her probation by accessing social media and having alcohol in her home.
According to the arrest warrant filed Friday, Nuckols’ probation officer saw that Nuckols had updated her Facebook profile and cover pictures within the past week. In one of the pictures, Nuckols was allegedly holding a glass that “appeared to be a frozen mixed drink.”
During a subsequent search of her home, officers found 14 bottles of alcohol along with a red plastic cup with chilled wine next to her bed.
Officers also found a smartphone belonging to Nuckols that she had not registered with the Sex Offender Registry. On the phone, they reportedly found pornographic images of Nuckols, along with the Snapchat and Facebook Messenger apps – which she had also not registered having with the Sex Offender Registry and which would violate her no-social-media probation condition.
Nuckols was sentenced to two years of home detention and two years of probation, plus 10 years of sex offender probation, in November after pleading guilty to one count of child seduction.

Nuckols was a teacher’s aide and substitute teacher at Mt. Vernon Middle School when she sent inappropriate photographs to a male student at the high school. The student later told investigators he and Nuckols had sex at least 10 times at her home, including when her children and husband were there.
In an interview with police, Nuckols reportedly admitted to having sex with the student and she "knew that the 'relationship' was wrong."
Nuckols also admitted to police she had an inappropriate relationship with at least one other current Mt. Vernon Schools student and at least four other previous students.
