MADISON COUNTY, Ind. – A home health care worker was accused of physically abusing a patient in Madison County this week.
The parents of the 17-year-old patient believed 46-year-old Maretta Hostetler of Anderson was abusing their developmentally disabled daughter after they found her with multiple bruises.
Hostetler’s employer, Lifestyles Homecare, was contacted and the parents and company agreed to place a hidden camera inside the home for three days.
Once the Madison County sheriff and prosecutor viewed the video, Hostetler was arrested and charged with battery, police said.
The patient’s injuries were not serious, said the sheriff.
