Man critical after being shot in the head during argument on Indianapolis' south side

INDIANAPOLIS -- A man is in critical condition after he was shot in the head during an argument on Indianapolis' south side. 

The shooting happened just before 9 p.m. at a truck yard on W. Troy Avenue. 

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers on the scene said two man got into an argument and one of them was shot in the head. That man was taken to the hospital in extremely critical condition. His identity has not been released. 

Police have taken the alleged shooter into custody. No charges have been filed at this time. 

The shooting remains under investigation by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
