INDIANAPOLIS -- A 25-year-old man died after he was shot inside an apartment early Tuesday morning on the Indianapolis' southeast side.
Police were called to an apartment on Barrington Avenue just after midnight for a report of a man who had been shot.
The man, 25-year-old Jason Alexander, was taken to Eskenazi Hospital, where he died.

Police believe the motive for the shooting was robbery. There were several people also inside the apartment at the time of the shooting. Police are asking those people to "do the right thing" and come forward about a suspect.
The shooting remains under investigation by Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department detectives.
