INDIANAPOLIS – A man was found shot with fresh burn marks on his body on the city’s west side Friday afternoon.
Indianapolis police said 37-year-old Corey Hoskins was found lying in the backyard of an abandoned home near W. 26th Street and White Avenue around noon.
Officers said Hoskins appeared to have been shot and had fresh burn marks all over his body.
Medical personnel transported him to Eskenazi Hospital. His condition was not released by police.
According to markings on the building, the home Hoskins was found behind had been boarded up since at least 2007, and possibly since 2004.
No suspect information was immediately released. Aggravated assault detectives said the investigation is ongoing.
