INDIANAPOLIS -- A man was injured in a shooting on Indianapolis’ east side early Friday morning.
The shooting happened around 1 a.m. at the Washington Pointe Apartments on Belhaven Plaza.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers on the scene say the man who was shot was drunk at the time. He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police say the suspected shooter is cooperating and is not facing any charges at this time.
The details surrounding the shooting have not been released.
The shooting remains under investigation by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
