INDIANAPOLIS -- Police are asking for the public's help to locate a man they believe sexually assaulted two women in downtown Indianapolis.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department issued a warrant for Anthony Jones, 25, Thursday afternoon.

Police believe Jones is responsible for two incidents near a city-owned garage on E. Market Street and N. New Jersey Street early Monday morning.

The first victim told police that a man followed her from the garage around 9 a.m. and touched her inappropriately while she was going home. The suspect, later identified as Anthony Jones, ran from the scene before police were called.

The second victim told police she was sexually assaulted by Jones around 11 a.m. She was taken to Eskenazi Hospital to be treated. Her condition is not known at this time.

Sex Crime detectives with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department determined that both assaults were related and issued a warrant Thursday afternoon for Jones. He is facing multiple charges including intimidation and rape.

If you see Anthony Jones police say you should not approach him and call 911 immediately.

Anyone with information on where Jones may be is asked to contact Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at 317-262-8477.
