INDIANAPOLIS -- A man and woman were arrested early Thursday morning following a suspected carjacking on Indianapolis' west side.
Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department found Shane Gebhart, 26, on the front porch of a house in the 200 block of South Warman Avenue around 2:00 a.m. Gebhart had cuts on his face and was covered in blood.
Gebhart told police that DeWayne Sisk, 34, and Rachel Brickley, 24, were sitting with him in a vehicle when Sisk started hitting the Gebhart with the butt of a gun.
Gebhart says he jumped out and ran to the house where officers found him.
The victim's vehicle was found at a Marathon gas station in the 3400 block of West Morris Street. Officers say a man matching the suspect's description was inside the vehicle.
They also found the female suspect inside the gas station.
Both were arrested on preliminary charges of robbery.
