More Greenwood homes vandalized with graffiti

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Several homes and public places in Greenwood were vandalized with graffiti this week.

Homeowners reported vulgar photos and profanity spray painted on their homes and on other buildings in the Wakefield subdivision.

Gina Riley said she was on her way home Tuesday afternoon when she noticed the damage. The graffiti on her home illustrated a male body part.

She said she and her children have lived in the area for 10 years and have felt safe, until recently.

“I cried,” said Riley. "I find myself running around to make sure the doors are locked.”

Less than a mile away, Rob Shonk found his home with graffiti as well.

“I was very unhappy because of the potential cost. I mean, that could be crazy,” he said.

Investigators said they believe the crimes are connected as the same color of paint was used at each home.

"Just this morning a detective came by and had some more detailed questions and was going to do a lot of walking today. He's probably somewhere in the area right now,” said Shonk.

If you have any information on this case, call police at (317) 346-4654.
