INDIANAPOLIS -- An off-duty officer with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department was arrested Thursday evening after an incident at a home on the city's southeast side.
Officers were called to the home in the 7900 block of Wildcat Run Lane for a disturbance around 9 p.m.
When they arrived on the scene they discovered that one of the people involved was off-duty IMPD officer Justin Callahan.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police department officers on the scene arrested Callahan. He's charged with battery and domestic battery. No other details have been released about the incident.
Callahan is a 7-year veteran with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department and is currently assigned to the East District.
IMPD Chief Bryan Roach placed Callahan on administrative leave and his police powers have been revoked pending the criminal and internal investigations.
