INDIANAPOLIS -- One person is dead after a shooting at a motel on Indianapolis' east side Thursday evening.
The shooting happened at the Shadeland Inn in the 3500 block of Shadeland Avenue just after 10 p.m.
When police arrived at the scene they found male victim suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. He was identified as Lawrence Barnes, 18.
No arrests have been made.
The shooting remains under investigation by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
