INDIANAPOLIS -- The identity of a 14-year-old who was shot and killed in the parking lot of a restaurant on Indianapolis' west side Monday night has been released.
Police were called to the 3200 block of West 16th Street just before 7:30 p.m.
Witnesses told officers that a car pulled up in the back parking lot of Popeye's, someone got out of the vehicle and shot the teen. Anthony Lee Hughes Jr. was taken to Eskenazi hospital where he later died.
Police do not have any suspects at this time.
The shooting remains under investigation by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
