PD: Man shot multiple times during possible road rage incident on Indianapolis' south side

INDIANAPOLIS -- A man was shot multiple times during what police are calling a road rage incident Wednesday on Indianapolis’ south side.

The shooting happened around 2 p.m. near the intersection of Shelby Street and Raymond Street.

According to Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers on the scene, two men in a gray truck and a man in a black car got into some sort of road rage incident which led to a dispute near the intersection.

Witnesses told police that the man in the car opened fire on the two men in the truck and drove away. The passenger in the truck was taken to Eskenazi Hospital to be treated for multiple gunshot wounds to the torso. His condition is not known at this time. 

Police are still looking for the black car that was involved.
