INDIANAPOLIS – A man was struck and killed by a vehicle in a hit-and-run incident Friday night on the city’s northeast side.

Indianapolis police arrived near the intersection of 38th Street and Arlington Avenue shortly before 11 p.m. to find an unresponsive man lying in the street. The 49-year-old Brian Harris of Indianapolis was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.

Police described the suspect's vehicle as a tan, beige or gold colored 2007-2012 Nissan Sentra with front bumper and undercarriage damage. 

The car then fled south on Arlington Avenue, then west on 38th Street.
